Preserving the knowledge and experience of senior citizens
seniors@work is a new job hunting platform for people who are 60 years-old or more, looking for anything from a role in the finance sector to a childcare position. The older adult is invited to create a profile outlining their key information and skills that businesses can look at and reach out to and organisations can post jobs on the platform that older adults can respond to.
“My father Ralph retired a year ago and I realized that there is really no way to continue using the whole life and work experience of the older generation. I know many 60-year-olds who feel young and fit and who are also well versed in the digital world. But how do I find someone who can help me with gardening or accounting or even repair my bike? The idea of seniors @ work was born.”
